Watch: Water-Obsessed Pooch Launches Himself Into Favorite Pond Again and Again

Share

Some dogs run and hide under the bed at the mere mention of the word “bath.” And then there’s the fun-loving mutt from upstate New York named “Ringo.”

This pooch loves the water so much, he’s got his own Facebook page and website appropriately named “Ringo Swims A Lot.”

“If I see the water, I’m going in… with or without my humans,” one blog post on his website reads. And this dog doesn’t just go in the water — he leaps in.

“When he gets out of the car at the pond, he can’t help himself,” Ringo’s owner says in a video by The Dodo. “Just shoots into the water. He’s just off like a rocket. It never gets old.”

The footage shows Ringo literally bounding for the water and going into full-on aerial mode when he sees his favorite place.

“Sometimes we have to spell P-O-N-D so he doesn’t get too excited…” she says. “He knows exactly where he’s going and he just starts to go nuts.”

Does your dog love the water?

Ringo’s excitement is infectious. Maybe he’s a fish at heart or maybe he just understands the joy of swimming on a hot summer day.

Either way, there’s no denying this pup is no paws and all fins when it comes to his favorite pastime. Just look at him bolt for the water!

“I get so excited, I can’t help myself… I just have to shoot myself into the water,” another blog post says. “My humans tell me I look like a rocket. I don’t mean to brag, but Michael Phelps got nothing on me — take a look for yourself!”

Ringo is full of energy and never seems to get tired of playing. Swimming isn’t the only thing he expels energy on, either. The champion swimmer also loves running and eating peanut butter.

Liftable, a section of The Western Journal, reached out to Ringo’s Facebook page for comment but has not yet received a response. We will update this article if and when we do.

Have you ever seen a dog so in love with the water? Ringo might just have a future career in the canine Olympics — either that or he’d make a great diving instructor!
