Forsberg dangles entire Colorado defense to score unbelievable playoff goal
Filip Forsberg of the Nashville Predators just pulled off the kind of move to score a goal that they don’t even program animations for in video games because they’re so improbable.
Forsberg dangled the Colorado Avalanche, putting the puck between his legs and the legs of the defender and then right onto his stick for a sweet little quick wrister past the goalie Thursday night.

The goal was Forsberg’s second, both of them coming in the third period, as a game tied at 2 in the second intermission turned into a 5-2 Nashville win to open up the Stanley Cup playoffs.
It was also his 17th playoff goal in a Preds uniform, which, when coupled with his 11 assists, gives him 28 playoff points, tied with Shea Weber and David Legwand for the franchise record.

It also wasn’t the only sweet goal Nashville scored.
Austin Watson got the Predators on the board after they’d fallen behind 1-0 in the first period with this goal 3:16 into the frame:

And plenty of people in Nashville were watching as the city has gone hockey mad, doubling the TV ratings compared with Game 1 of last year’s first-round series against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Forsberg has been on a roll, peaking at the right time.
Not only did he have two goals in Thursday night’s playoff opener, he also scored a hat trick in the regular-season finale against Columbus and had two goals, including the game winner, to go with an assist against Toronto on April 1.
He finished the season with 26 goals and 38 assists, while his plus-27 plus/minus was good for 11th in the NHL and best on his own team.
Hockey fever is back, folks. The Stanley Cup playoffs are off to a fantastic start.
And for Forsberg, he’s hoping to join the Predators in hoisting the Cup after falling short in the finals last year against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
