How to watch Tim Tebow in Eastern League All-Star Game

Share

Doube-A Binghamton Rumble Ponies outfielder/DH Tim Tebow will be making his professional baseball All-Star debut Wednesday night.

While Tebow’s immense popularity assuredly played some role in his berth in the Eastern League All-Star Game, to completely discredit his on-field baseball productivity would do a massive disservice to the man.

Going into Wednesday night’s game, Tebow is batting a very solid .270 to go alongside his 12 doubles, five home runs and 33 RBIs.

Tebow’s productivity has been enough to spark rampant speculation about a call-up to the New York Mets.

But whereas MLB, NBA and NFL All-Star games are broadcast on national television, it’s not nearly as clear how the Eastern League All-Star Game would be broadcast to the fans.

It’s actually rather simple. The game is part of of the MiLB streaming service.

There are two tiers of service available, both of which would include Wednesday night’s All-Star Game. The first is $19.99 for the rest of the Minor League Baseball season, which would allow you to watch all of Tebow’s games for the rest of the year (barring a Mets call-up). The other tier is a monthly $12.99 subscription model. For both tiers, you will have to create an MiLB account.

But outside of that, it’s as simple as downloading the MiLB First Pitch app (if you plan on viewing on a mobile device) and selecting your preferred tier.

Of course, if you live in Trenton, New Jersey, you could amble by Arm & Hammer Park and watch the festivities in person.

Do you think Tim Tebow will get a hit in the All-Star Game?

The only issue with seeing the game in person, and Tebow almost certainly plays a role in this, is the unusually high ticket prices of a minor league all-star game. A quick glance at StubHub shows that tickets are going for as much as $267.67.

For Tebow, he’s had as much of a media whirlwind off the field as on it. Aside from the potential Mets call-up, some aspects of Tebow’s personal life have also come up front and center.

Tebow’s mother, who for the most part has completely avoided the spotlight, was featured in a TMZ video discussing Tebow’s chances of going to the Mets. Rest assured, she is one proud mother.

Tebow’s also had the curtain peeled back a bit when it comes to his love life. Both his brother and sister posted images to their Instagram accounts adding substance to the rumors that Tebow is dating Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.

Things are certainly coming up roses for Tebow these days. It’s a far cry from just last season, when mainstream media outlets like ESPN and Sports Illustrated treated him like a laughingstock.

The Eastern League All-Star game begins at 7 p.m. ET.
