Watch: Steph Curry Nails the Longest Shot of the Entire NBA Season at the Buzzer
Steph Curry’s range knows no bounds and that was made evident once again when the Golden State Warriors played the San Antonio Spurs Monday night.
At the end of the first quarter, Curry took an in bounds pass under his own hoop from Shaun Livingston with 1.8 seconds left. He took a few dribbles and let it fly from the top of the key, about three-quarters of the court from the hoop.
To be precise, Curry was exactly 61 feet from the hoop.

Curry flipped it up, seemingly effortlessly, and the shot banked off the backboard into the hoop to tie the score at 25.
According to ESPN Stats and Information, it is the longest made basket in the NBA this season.

Curry had a feeling it might go in when it left his hands.
“I might be delusional, but every time I shoot it, I feel like it’s going in,” Curry said, reported ESPN. “You kind of know right away whether it has a chance or not. Some of them are in and out, it’s close, whatever. That one felt great, I was running after (it). A cool way to end the quarter, I just wish we had gotten the win, too.”
Curry was congratulated by his teammates on the bench for sinking the longest shot he’s ever made in the regular season. His longest ever was a 62-footer he made in the playoffs, according to ESPN.
But the night did not end well for the Warriors as they lost to the Spurs 111-105.
It was the Spurs’ ninth straight win. The loss dropped the Warriors into a tie for first in the Western Conference with the Denver Nuggets, who beat the Celtics in Boston 114-105.
Curry had 25 points to lead the Warriors. He made 9 of 25 from the field, including 6 of 18 from three. He also had seven rebounds and eight assists.

Curry now has made four shots from 50 feet or beyond since 2000. That mark ties, of all people, Zach Randolph, according to ESPN. Andre Miller has three.
Don’t bet against Curry surpassing Randolph in that particular stat before he’s done.
