Watch: Undefeated Boxer Suffers First Loss of His Career After Pulling a 'Mike Tyson'
The Elite Eight wasn’t the only March Madness happening on Saturday. Halfway around the world in Liverpool, England, boxing fans were treated to a bit of pure insanity.
Kash Ali entered his boxing match against David Price with a perfect 15-0 record. The heavyweight had been rising up the ranks, and he may have been able to parlay a victory into a future title shot.
But Ali didn’t keep his undefeated streak going, instead losing in the craziest of ways.
During the fifth round of the fight, he and Price got tangled up and crashed to the canvas.
Then Ali did something we may not have seen in a ring since Mike Tyson took on Evander Holyfield more than 20 years ago.
While lying on top of Price, Ali appeared to take a bite out of his opponent’s midsection.
Price then rose to his feet and started motioning to where he’d been bitten.

The referee was on top of the action, and he soon disqualified Ali, handing him the first loss of his career. As Ali left the arena, fans threw drinks at him in disgust, according to the BBC.
A British Boxing Board of Control spokesperson told the BBC that Ali would have to appear before its area council.
It’s possible that Ali could be disciplined further, meaning the bite will have cost him more than just this one fight.
The two boxers were once sparring partners, though Price was out for revenge, in large part because Ali had said he was a quitter, the BBC reported.
After being disqualified, Ali reportedly said he wanted a rematch. Price wasn’t having it.
“I don’t want to share the ring with an animal like that,” Price said.
Price’s record improved to 24-6, while Ali is now 15-1. Since he was disqualified, Ali did not receive his fee for the fight.
Of course, this certainly isn’t the first time one boxer has bitten another.
The most famous instance of this happening was when Tyson bit Holyfield during their heavyweight title match in 1997. That fight is now infamously known as “The Bite Fight.”
Tyson ended up being fined $3 million. He also lost his boxing license in the state of Nevada for over one year.
