An undercover video reveals California Governor Gavin Newsom praising the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) during a conversation recorded on October 17. He stated the DSA will become "dominant" and a "mainstream" movement within the Democratic Party, emphasizing the need for bold change rather than incremental improvements. The remarks sparked backlash from Republican figures, including gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton, who criticized Newsom for failing to implement substantive changes during his tenure, and Spencer Pratt, who accused him of advocating for radical shifts in response to polling pressures.
