Monica Lewinsky Just Openly Attacked Clinton Privilege

Share

Monica Lewinsky is blowing the whistle on liberal hypocrisy.

The woman who was at the center of President Bill Clinton’s impeachment from her White House intern days in the 1990s has mostly stayed out of the headlines since those dramatic days, but when she resurfaces it’s almost always humiliating for the entire Clinton clan.

This time, it’s shaming the whole liberal movement — and the privilege it gives to its royal family.

In a Twitter post published Wednesday, Lewinsky chided an anonymous event organizer for inviting her, but then canceling her invitation when Bill Clinton decided to be there, too.

Lewinsky didn’t identify the target, but the Huffington Post did.

Within an hour of Lewinsky’s tweet, the liberal website (which apparently moves in the same circles as Lewinsky and the Clintons) reported that the organization was Town & Country magazine.

According to the Huffington Post, Clinton attended a “summit” hosted by Town & Country on Wednesday in New York City, where he introduced young Emma Gonzalez, one of the teenagers who has turned February’s mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida, into an extended 15 minutes of fame. That was the event Lewinsky had been banned from.

Lewinsky followed up her post with one that implied Town & Country tried to mollify her by offering a makeup puff piece.

Conservative actor James Woods applauded Lewinsky for hitting back at such passive aggressive abuse.

And one of his followers summed it up perfectly:

It might sound like middle school melodrama, but the incident is a perfect example of the liberal, Democrat establishment and Clinton privilege in action. (For what it’s worth, Town & Country apologized for how it handled the whole mess. Too little, too late to cover up the mindset that made it possible.)

As Fox News’ Laura Ingraham pointed out this week, the party that pretends to care most about women’s issues actually cares the least about individual women.

Did Monica Lewinsky have a right to be furious over this?
It would take a liberal organization to even invite the Clintons to any event. It would take a liberal organization to be willing to risk putting Clinton anywhere near the company of a young woman. (Gonzalez turned 18 in the fall. She’s also brags about being bisexual, if anyone’s curious.)

And it would take a liberal organization with the maturity of a mean girl from high school to actually disinvite a woman because she had been shamefully used for sexual gratification by Clinton in the Oval Office.

Even in the world of 2018, where Democrats are hoping to ride the #MeToo movement back to political power, the party has zero interest in abandoning the Clinton privilege that turned a former president who was nearly hounded out of office into an elder statesman.

It’s the kind of Clinton privilege that turned a shady former first lady into an even shadier secretary of state, then turned that former secretary of state into a disaster of a presidential candidate.

It’s the Clinton privilege that makes a mockery of Democrat pretensions to women’s rights, when they’re weighed in the balance against the party’s insatiable lust for power.

And Lewinsky just blew the whistle on the whole corrupt house of cards.
