Exhausted Mama Dog Worn Out, Has No Idea What To Do with Hilarious Puppy
Ah, motherhood. It truly is the gift that keeps on giving.
Only sometimes, when your kid is being especially energetic, uncooperative, or flat out unruly, it can actually take quite a bit out of you. Every devoted mom understands what it feels like to have “one of those days.”
Think about dealing with a toddler in the throes of the terrible twos, or a kiddo who has just discovered the word “no.” Even a polite directive like “please come here” may result in an epic battle of wills that leaves a parent utterly exhausted.
Evidently, even members of the animal kingdom occasionally experience pint-sized servings of serious attitude. Or at least, that’s what seems to be happening in one video recently posted on Facebook.
The short snippet was shared by animal advocate organization Adóptame Pereira. According to the group’s official website, it exists to rescue and assist abandoned pets in and around the city of Pereira, Colombia.
Adóptame Pereira also explains that it periodically posts adorable videos designed to touch people’s hearts.
In this way, viewers around the world are alerted to the plight of homeless animals everywhere.
This latest video is being shared far and wide for good reason. It features a highly relatable “mother moment” between a beautiful gray mama dog, and her endearing-yet-ornery pup.
Mom appears to be making a perfectly reasonable parental request: “Junior, move over this way.” But oh, the drama that ensues.
There are tiny squeals, and high-pitched yips — even a full-on, floor-rolling tantrum. Mama Dog tries lifting her irate little pup by the scruff, then nudging him around with her oversized paws.
At one point, she even placates him with a sweetly encouraging smooch on the nose. But all she gets in return is a rebellious canine kiddo, acting like some kind of fluffy, miniature know-it-all.
Finally, the maternal stress begins to manifest through a few beleaguered butt-wiggles — and then a harried glance at the camera that seems to say, “You see what I have to deal with?”
As of Thursday morning, the hilarious video has prompted 75,000 Facebook comments, 1.3 million shares, and a substantial number of laughing emojis. Clearly, exasperated moms everywhere can absolutely relate.
