Boyfriend Goes Above and Beyond To Lead Unsuspecting Girl to Romantic Mountain Proposal

Share

Social media is the home of some of the best proposals we’ve ever seen. From sweet serenades to rickety roller coasters, we thought we’d seen it all.

Until now, that is. In an epic video from ultimate frisbee guru Brodie Smith, his girlfriend Kelsey has no idea what’s about to unfold.

“I convinced her that we’re doing a brand video out here, and that’s what she thinks we’re doing,” he says in the Facebook video. “But actually I’m going to be proposing today…”

Smith appears to be excited and also admits to being “a little nervous” as he and his crew plan the entire thing.

Just to make sure Kelsey wouldn’t have any suspicions, Smith set up the day like any other trick shot video shoot.

He, Kelsey and the film crew go all over, hiking, rock climbing, long boarding and even ziplining, nailing trick shot after trick shot in a serious game of ultimate frisbee.

What Kelsey doesn’t know is that many of their family members are hiding out, waiting to make an appearance just in time for the beginning of their happily ever after.

“There’s going to be 7 family members at the end of the zipline,” Smith tells the camera. “Candles, rose petals…”

As the proposal neared, Smith was certain Kelsey was starting to guess something about this day was different from the others.

“Something’s fishy,” Kelsey tells the camera. But Smith didn’t seem too worried. Even if his girlfriend had a hunch something wasn’t right, he was sure she couldn’t have known everything.

When they reach the top of an epic zip-line, you can’t help but hold your breath in anticipation. Watch Kelsey’s reaction as she realizes what awaits her at the bottom.

I don’t know about you, but the tears started welling for me when Kelsey saw her mom standing on the platform. She appears to tear up, and Smith does as well.

As he begins the proposal, there’s no doubt Smith is holding back sobs. “I didn’t think over a year ago I was going to meet you at church that night,” he says.

“I just feel like both of us can be weird together…” Smith goes on. “You allow me to be obnoxious and get on your nerves and you still love me.”

What a sweet proposal of epic proportions! We wish Kelsey and Brodie the best as they begin this new adventure together.
