Little Boy Has Picture Taken at Disneyland, Turns Around To See Military Daddy Waiting

Share

Disney Parks are among the “happiest places on earth.” From fairytale weddings to tear-jerking reunions, Disney is the place where dreams come true.

Combine a memorable day in your favorite park with an unforgettable reunion and you might just have the most heartwarming moment ever.

Take it from the military families who have reunited while on the grounds where Walt Disney walked — there’s no better place for a homecoming surprise than near a castle.

In 2012, The Disney Blog shared a special surprise that took place at the American Adventure pavilion at Epcot in Florida.

Spc. Scott Halquist had been deployed in Afghanistan for 10 months. His children had no idea he was about to make their vacation even sweeter.

This heartfelt moment between a father and his children is priceless. But this isn’t the only Disney-style reunion to be captured on camera.

In 2015, Disney on Ice helped a family arrange a special reunion fit for a princess. Sgt. Hicks had spent six months in Afghanistan. When his three princesses see him for the first time in too long, their reactions will melt your heart.

Do you have a favorite reunion video?

Perhaps one of my favorite Disney reunions happened on set at the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Watch these kiddos tackle their father to the ground when they realize that Disney really is the place where anything can happen.

That was an epic reunion perfectly fitting for its adventurous background. But not all homecomings consist of epic stunts.

Sometimes all you need is a smiling kid, a castle and a bit of magic. One viral video has captured the hearts of thousands. When you watch it, you’ll see why.

The video shows a little boy, smiling from ear to ear as his photo is taken in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland in California.

What this little guy doesn’t know is that there’s more than just a castle in the background. The moment his dad appears behind him is everything.

I just can’t get enough of moments like these. The hugs and tears and pure joy are gifts that will brighten anyone’s day.

Do you have a favorite military reunion? Disney reunion? How about both? All reunions are sweet, but I think Disney always tends to make these memories just a little sweeter.
