NFL player raised by Army parents goes above and beyond in viral photo at airport
The parents of Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones seem to have raised their son the right way.
Jones who is heading into his sophomore season with the Packers, was spotted at a Wisconsin airport on Monday pushing an old lady’s wheelchair. It was a random act of kindness that might have received no recognition at all if not for one eagle-eyed Packers fan.

“Just watched Packers Aaron Jones push a random lady through the Appleton airport because there was no there to push her,” the fan tweeted.
Jones was likely on his way back from El Paso, Texas, where he attended the Neon Desert Music Festival this past weekend, according to the El Paso Times.
The user’s original tweet went viral on the social media platform, racking up more than 18,000 likes and 3,400 retweets.
Many users responded by praising Jones for his act of kindness.

The Packers running back’s parents do indeed deserve praise for the way their son turned out.
Alvin Jones Sr. is a retired Army Command sergeant major, while Vurgess Jones served for nearly 27 years in the Army before retiring. But they didn’t let their careers get in the way of raising their children.
“I actually set my military retirement up so I would be out of the Army at the start of their senior year (of high school),” Alvin Sr. told the Packers’ official website last year. “Everybody always asked me, ‘Why didn’t you do that last year?’ Well, I had a great reason — my kids.”
Aaron Jones’ brother, Alvin Jr., played football at the University of Texas at El Paso, where Aaron also competed. Both brothers were taught from a young age to work hard and always stay humble.
“What I’ve told Aaron and Alvin, this is a reward for all the hard work that you guys have put in,” Alvin Sr. said.
“What mom and I always try to do with them, even now, is make sure they understand why they’re successful. That, first and foremost, is the blessing from the man upstairs. Secondly, we try to keep them humble and working hard. No matter how much success you have, there’s always something you can improve so continue to work hard, stay humble and good things will always happen for you.”
Good things did indeed happen to Aaron last season. He was drafted by the Packers in the fifth round, and went on to rush for 448 yards with four touchdowns.
