Ray Allen nails incredible golf shot PGA pros are rarely capable of
NBA legend Ray Allen made a career off long-range jumpers, so why should we expect anything different from his golf career?
Allen proved he is still capable of sinking shots from way downtown Friday, but not in the way you might expect.
During the Diamond Resorts Invitational at Tranquilo Golf Club in Orlando, Florida, he stood 122 yards away from the pin on the 11th green.
Allen was on his third short when he sank his approach, giving him a birdie on the par-4 and earning him a high-five from John Daly.

The tournament is separated into two brackets on the scoreboard.
One side is for professional men and woman golfers, while the other features celebrities, athletes and amateurs.
The two sides compete to raise money for the Florida Hospital for Children.

Thanks to Allen’s hole-out on the 11th, he tied for 19th place after the first round Friday with 11 points.
The tournament uses the Stableford method to keep score.
The Stableford method hands out points depending on what you achieved on the hole.
For example, a birdie would reward you with 2 points, par gets you zero and a bogie means minus-1. The more points you attain, the better.
The field includes many big names including MLB legends John Smoltz and Roger Clemens, former NFL stars Marcus Allen and Brian Urlacher, seven-time LPGA Tour winner Brittany Lincicome, comedian Larry the Cable Guy and country singer Lee Brice.

The second of three rounds will take place on Saturday afternoon and be aired on the Golf Channel.
