Stephen Baldwin's Daughter Hailey Opens Up About Her Sweet Relationship with Jesus
For those in the spotlight, outspoken faith can be a challenge. There are always questions, backlash and ultimately a loss of social media followers.
But for every lost follower, a Christian celebrity gains plenty more. One might say those new followers are the ones who really matter.
We’ve watched actress Chrissy Metz proclaim her faith and we have loved seeing actor Chris Pratt stand up for Jesus.
Now Hailey Bieber, daughter of Stephen Baldwin and newlywed wife of Justin Bieber, is speaking out about her deeply rooted beliefs.
In a new docuseries brought to us by Hillsong, Hailey talks about her purpose in life and what she believes it means to be a “light.”
Hailey is featured on “Now With Natalie,” hosted by Natalie Manuel Lee, which debuted March 3, 2019. According to CBN, Lee is a Christian businesswoman and the daughter of former MLB player Jerry Manuel.
“I think that the bigger purpose behind it is for me to be a light in this place,” Hailey said in a preview for the show. “I’m here to represent Jesus through me for other people — for His will to be done.”
It’s no secret that her father, Stephen, has been speaking out for Christ for years; he once told Fox News that his bold faith ultimately hurt his reputation in Hollywood.
Justin Bieber dealt with a similar experience when he began to talk about his Christian walk. In 2017, the superstar canceled his tour due to the fact he “rededicated his life to Christ,” TMZ reported.
Now Justin and Hailey Bieber aren’t alone as they face the journey of faith in the spotlight together. And, according to Hailey, it’s all about Jesus.
“I think that the second that we feel like we’re too high and mighty, we’re always reminded that it’s not about us,” Hailey said in the “Now With Natalie” preview.
“Nothing is about me, or you, or really anybody. It’s about us being a vessel for Jesus to be seen.”
Subscribers to Hillsong Channel can stream episodes of the series. New episodes air Sundays at 7:30 p.m. PST.
We are so inspired by these celebrities and how they are unafraid to proclaim the name of Jesus. We can’t wait to see where they shine their lights next!
