Trans Attacker Raped Girl in Women's Bathroom, Victim Then Forced to Defend Herself for 'Misgendering' Him
A teenage rape victim was put on the spot during the trial of her rapist, a former police officer who claims he is now a transgender woman, over Germany’s laws against misgendering those who are gender-perplexed.
Maja Schmid, 55, a former police officer, was sentenced to three years and three months in prison for the rape, according to Reduxx.
The crimes for which he was convicted include raping a friend’s daughter in August 2025 in the restroom of a restaurant after having sent the 14-year-old girl a pornographic text message from the local police station, the Daily Mail reported.
“The victim was unable to react and stared at the accused in shock. The accused left the cubicle, and the victim, trembling all over and with her heart pounding, locked herself in the toilet,” the indictment said.
As noted by the Daily Mail, the public was not allowed into the trial when the defendant was to be questioned.
During the trial, Schmid’s lawyer, Peter Dürr, asked the victim about using a male pronoun for Schmid, Reduxx reported.
🚨UPDATE🚨
Reduxx can confirm that the name of the transgender police officer charged with raping a 14-year-old girl is Maja Schmid.
Schmid’s identity was withheld by German media outlets, but has been confirmed via an anonymous tip and by cross-referencing his arm tattoo against a court photo.
Schmid had previously been positively profiled by media as a “woman” with a “delicate soul.”

The victim replied that she was not “misgendering” a rapist.
She later called Schmid a “biological man, a trans woman. But this trans woman has raped someone,” describing him as a “threat to other women.”
In April 2024, Germany passed a law that could result in a 10,000-euro fine for misgendering. The lawyer’s comment caused outrage on social media, where users felt the victim was being intimidated.
German women’s rights campaigners shared a common message on social media in reaction to the accusations of misgendering.
“We live in a country where a raped girl is issued a cease-and-desist order if she refers to her rapist as a man. I despise everyone who enacted this humiliating, misogynistic law,” the message said.
In his sentencing remarks, Judge Andreas Bartschmid said that despite the rape and Schmid’s vast child porn collection, Schmid was “not a pedophile.”
The judge claimed the victim suffered “no long-lasting effects” from being raped.

The victim pushed back by saying, “If the judge had seen me outside the courtroom on the day I gave my statement, having panic attacks because I was supposed to testify in the same room as Maja, he would have realized that I had suffered harm.”
The rapist was referred to as a “police woman” or “female police officer” in German media coverage of the trial.
That enraged Canadian columnist and activist Jonathon Van Maren.
“These crimes, it must be emphasized, were not committed by a ‘policewoman.’ They were male crimes committed by a policeman,” he wrote in an article for LifeSite.
“The primary duty of journalists is to convey the truth to their audiences, and as I have said in this space many times, I believe that the refusal of the mainstream press to tell the truth about trans-identifying criminals is the single greatest factor in the ongoing, spectacular collapse of their credibility,” he added.
