Bette Midler Catches Voters Off Guard by Offering Herself as Write-in 2020 Candidate

Has-been entertainer Bette Midler is not a fan of Donald Trump, nor is she afraid to make her views about the president known.

Now, according to her Twitter profile, she’s offering up an alternative to voters in the 2020 presidential election — herself:

“Write-in candidate 2020!” Midler’s Twitter profile read as of early Friday afternoon. “#BeBette.”

The update to her profile came “within the last week,” according to the Media Research Center’s NewsBusters blog.

Now, it’s unclear whether Midler really wants people to write her in for president.

The Western Journal reached out to her for comment but has not yet received a response. We will update this article if and when we do.

If I were to venture a guess, I’d say Midler just wants attention.

This is the same woman, after all, who shared a completely fake quote about the president as if it were the truth.

And this is the same woman who launched a racist attack on black Trump supporters, suggesting African-Americans are incapable of having diversity of thought unless they’re being paid for it.

Trump, for his part, was right on the money when he put Midler on blast for tweeting that fake quote.

“Washed up psycho @BetteMidler was forced to apologize for a statement she attributed to me that turned out to be totally fabricated by her in order to make ‘your great president’ look really bad,” Trump tweeted.

I sincerely doubt Midler has any intention of being president.

Regardless, she’s got nothing on the commander in chief we have right now.
