Trump Incensed by Bill Maher, Unleashes 1,300-Word Post Ripping 'Sleazebag'

President Donald Trump and comedian Bill Maher may have broken bread at the White House, but any hopes of a lasting friendship appear to have gone up in smoke.

Trump unleashed a blistering, 1,323-word Truth Social post Sunday night, tearing into the HBO host following his latest episode of “Real Time,” CNN reported.

And the president didn’t exactly mince words.

“Let’s talk about this COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSER, Bill Maher,” Trump began, before taking aim at the comedian’s ratings and HBO itself.

The remarkable tirade was Trump’s longest social media post ever, according to CNN’s analysis and the third-party tracking database Factbase.

The lengthy rebuke came after Maher’s Friday broadcast, his first since an Oct. 15 White House dinner with Trump, musician Kid Rock, and ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith.

Trump initially appeared pleased with that meeting, calling it a “great dinner” the following day and acknowledging that he actually liked Maher.

But the president’s goodwill apparently evaporated after watching Maher’s latest program, which included criticisms of Trump and his administration.

Trump accused the comedian of being considerably friendlier behind closed doors than he is before HBO’s cameras.

“He’s gutless, because he enjoyed every minute,” Trump wrote, adding that he had ultimately learned nothing from their meeting.

The president also disputed Maher’s characterization of the dinner’s length, insisting it lasted approximately two hours rather than the four hours cited by Maher and Smith.

“We have the timestamps,” Trump declared.

Beyond the personal insults, Trump took issue with Maher’s claims about his political standing, pointing to polling that he said demonstrated overwhelming Republican support.

Trump also defended former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who appeared on Maher’s Friday program alongside California Republican gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton and Kentucky Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear.

“Karoline Leavitt was GREAT on the show, but she started with a biased, dumb SLEAZEBAG, asking questions,” Trump wrote.

The president also rejected Maher’s criticism of his administration’s handling of Iran and pushed back against the comedian’s claims concerning California elections and Republican candidates.

Trump even addressed reports concerning possible changes to the White House press corps’ workspace, confirming that he was considering relocating reporters while rejecting a suggestion about building a swimming pool in the briefing room.

“I am thinking about moving the Press, and putting them in a different location, but I will use that location for very badly needed space,” he wrote.

But perhaps the most colorful portion of Trump’s lengthy broadside involved his repeated suggestion that Maher’s program relies on artificial laughter.

“People can’t think he’s funny,” Trump wrote, questioning what kind of “Laughter Machine” the comedian supposedly uses.

Maher’s show features a live studio audience, and Trump offered no evidence that its laughter was manufactured.

The president also recounted how mutual acquaintances, including Kid Rock and producer Chuck LaBella, had repeatedly encouraged him to meet with Maher, despite Trump’s initial reservations.

“My first response was, ‘Fellas, this guy’s a Goofball,’” Trump recalled.

By the end of Sunday’s post, however, Trump appeared to have exhausted whatever patience he once had for the HBO personality.

“Bill: Don’t call anymore. It’s useless,” he declared, also telling LaBella to stop seeking additional meetings.

Trump ultimately vowed never to watch Maher’s show again, dismissing it as “nothing more than FAKE NEWS.”

For all the political disagreements between the two men, their White House dinners had briefly suggested that even longtime adversaries could find some common ground.

Apparently, sharing a meal with the president doesn’t come with a lifetime exemption from his criticism.

And judging by Trump’s 1,323-word farewell, Maher shouldn’t expect another dinner invitation anytime soon.
