Robbin Parisek’s mission is to bring patriotism back into the schools, one class at a time.

After retiring as a teacher in 2005, Parisek became active in the Daughters of the American Revolution. As flag chairman for her DAR chapter, as well as former vice chair for the flag of the United States of America, she developed a flag curriculum for fifth-grade students that involves an interactive lesson on the flag code, as well as the five revisions to the Pledge of Allegiance and the correct folding of the flag. To date, she has carried the message of "The Flag and Why It Matters" to over 10,000 students throughout Phoenix and surrounding communities. When speaking to adults, she challenges them to see if they are "Smarter Than a Fifth Grader"!
