Cam Newton reportedly involved in car crash
Cam Newton was involved in an accident Thursday when his Ferrari F12 was rear ended by a dump truck, reported TMZ Sports.
The accident happened in downtown Atlanta, where the Carolina Panthers quarterback resides.
Newton did not appear to be injured in the accident, according to TMZ.
There was no indication on how much damaged his matte black Ferrari suffered.
The car is estimated to be worth about $300,000.
The Atlanta Police Department confirmed that it received a 911 call about a car crash involving Newton, reported UPI.
Both parties declined to file police reports, UPI reported.
It is not clear who was at fault.
TMZ Sports obtained a photograph of Newton walking around at the site of the accident.

Newton is home in Atlanta recovering from knee ligament damage he suffered during the Panthers’ 31-26 loss to the New Orleans Saints in the wild-card round of the playoffs.
It’s not the first time he’s been involved in an accident.
In December 2014, Newton’s truck overturned on a Charlotte highway.

He was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for that 2014 accident and was treated for minor injuries.
Newton led the Panthers to an 11-5 record in 2017.
The 28-year-old quarterback threw for 22 touchdowns and 3,302 yards last year and ran for a career-high 754 yards with six touchdowns.
