Black Leadership Group Defies Liberals, Scorches NYT Over Anti-White Editor

In what can only be described as a clear display of the hypocritical double standards that most progressive liberals enjoy, The New York Times recently hired to its editorial board a woman with a lengthy history of making blatantly racist anti-white statements on social media and elsewhere.

That bigoted woman is Korean-American technology writer Sarah Jeong, and though the left has sought to excuse her decidedly racist tweets and remarks as not being racist, a group of conservative minorities is crying foul on the ridiculous double standard at play.

In an official release from Project 21, an organization for black conservatives, several members informed The Times of just how “racist” and “vulgar” they found Jeong’s anti-white tweets — of which there are literally hundreds over the span of several years — and called out the supposed “paper of record” for its readily apparent political bias.

“Ms. Jeong is the recipient of leftist privilege, which means that whatever she says can and will be forgiven no matter how vile or racist her actions may have been,” stated Stacy Washington, nationally syndicated radio host and co-chairwoman of Project 21.

“In response to the backlash over her addition to the New York Times editorial staff, the paper shared that they had discussions with her about the appropriateness of her tweets. This is within their purview, but the double-standard is glaring,” she continued.

“Roseanne Barr was blacklisted for one tweet. Even after she showed remorse and apologized profusely, there is no path of redemption for her. In the freest nation on the planet, we are witnessing jackbooted political thuggery,” Washington added.

A Project 21 member who serves as a political consultant, Rich Holt, said, “Sarah Jeong’s comments are antithetical in an age when we should be moving beyond racism to embrace our greater American identity.”

“This racist liberal engages in a divisive anti-white narrative that is just as damaging as black codes and segregation were in the past. As Americans, we need to erase the hyphens that divide us and embrace our unity under the red, white and blue,” added Holt.

Do you think more minorities are getting openly critical of the left's double standards?

Another young member of the organization — Stone Washington, senior at Clemson University — stated, “The fact that The New York Times came out in defense of Sarah Jeong’s visceral racism and animosity toward white people proves how low liberal newspapers have sunk.”

“The radical left now deeply believes it is impossible to be racist against white people, fostering a culture that encourages insulting whiteness while criminalizing even the slightest attack against any other racial group,” he added, putting a fine point on the blunt hypocrisy of The Times and the progressive left in general.

These black conservatives who are speaking out against the glaring double standards of the left when it comes to racism are most likely not alone in their feelings of disgust at what the left condemns on the one hand and lets slide on the other.

Indeed, as noted by Thomas Lifson at American Thinker, President Donald Trump has seen a remarkable surge in support among black voters, one that can hopefully be sustained and potentially even expanded as the 2020 election season approaches.

The results of that poll, combined with these statements from Project 21 members and the increasingly outspoken nature of other young black Americans who have embraced conservatism — or at least abandoned the Democrat Party — are surely sending chills down the spines of the left.

The stranglehold on minority voters that Democrats have maintained with an iron grip for decades has slipped, and more black and Hispanic voters are turning their backs on the left on a daily basis, which threatens the very base and foundation of the current identity politics-obsessed Democrat Party.

The weakening grip of the left on minorities, who they believe must remain squarely within the Democrat camp, is further evidenced by the increasingly vile manner in which black conservatives are maligned and smeared and even physically threatened for having the audacity to think for themselves ideologically.

Hopefully, none of that utter vileness will work to discourage minority Americans from continuing to objectively assess the various political ideologies in order to choose which one will best serve them and our country, and not be browbeaten into remaining a liberal Democrat just because that is what the left demands minorities do.

America is better than that. And Americans, of whatever race, should be better than that, too.
