Dad Injured During Potential Mass Shooting, Still Takes Out Crazed Gunman

Share

A father was forced to return fire at a gunman inside an Alabama McDonald’s, saving countless lives.

It all began as the unidentified dad and his sons were leaving the burger chain late Saturday. As an employee held the door open, a masked man stormed into the restaurant. He quickly began to fire a gun.

The dad returned fire, reports WBRC.

One terrified employee hid in a freezer, counting 15 shots total. “All we hear is like different gunfire, so in my mind, I’m imagining everybody is dead. He’s looking for us,” the employee said.

Ultimately, the employee was thankful for his pistol-packing customer, saying “he’s my hero because I can only imagine how it would’ve went if he wasn’t armed.”

The shootout left the dad and one of his sons injured. Police later confirmed the gunman died from his wounds.

This isn’t the first time an armed citizen has stopped a potential mass shooting. Concealed carry has become an effective tool for combating violent crime and ensuring a safe society.

Recently, this became evident when a mass shooting at a back-to-school event was averted.

At the event, a man began shooting after a fist fight.

Do you think this dad is a hero?

As kids and their families rushed away, an unnamed bystander drew his weapon and returned fire. The gunman was hit, and his injuries landed him in the hospital. Police did not charge the bystander with a crime.

The panic from this encounter was captured on video. Gunshots can be heard in the background of the video as people run for cover.

A bill to expand and protect concealed carry was introduced in 2017.

The bill would allow those with conceal carry permits to wear their firearms in any other state, as well as federal lands and national parks. Although it passed the House, this legislation is still a few steps away from becoming law.

This shows Congress is starting to lurch in the right direction for the 2nd Amendment, a trend that is virtually guaranteed to continue if conservatives keep their seats in the upcoming elections.

The Democratic Blue Wave promises to wash away every potential law like this.

Now even non-political gun owners have an extremely important reason to vote. Concealed carry could very well be a thing of the past if November is a disaster for the GOP.
