Bombshell: Huma Forwarded State Dept. PASSWORDS to Email Address Later Hacked

Share

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s top aide, Huma Abedin, forwarded sensitive State Department emails to a personal Yahoo email account that may have later been breached by hackers, a new report has revealed.

Moreover, some of those emails contained passwords to vital government systems.

According to an FBI report obtained by Judicial Watch, Abedin “regularly forwarded work emails to her personal humamabedin@yahoo.com address,” as reported by The Daily Caller.

She used this account whenever her State Department system “was down or if she needed to print an email or document,” the FBI report cited by the Dailer Caller reads. “Abedin further explained that it was difficult to print from the DoS system so she routinely forwarded emails to her non-DoS accounts so she could more easily print.”

When most people experience internet problems at work, they reach out to their company’s information technology experts. But not Abedin. Instead she reached out to “Yahoo! Mail,” a web-based email service that suffered two major breaches in 2013 and 2014.

“Verizon Communications, which acquired Yahoo this year, said on Tuesday that a previously disclosed attack that had occurred in 2013 affected all three billion of Yahoo’s user accounts,” The New York Times reported earlier this year after word broke the hacks had been more damaging than initially thought

“Digital thieves made off with names, birth dates, phone numbers and passwords of users that were encrypted with security that was easy to crack,” its report continued. “The intruders also obtained the security questions and backup email addressed used to reset lost passwords.”

While it’s true Clinton and Abedin left the State Department in early 2013, what’s to say the State Department emails Abedin forwarded to her Yahoo account were not still archived there when the hacks occurred? Given these two’s stunning recklessness, it’s certainly possible, if not very likely. Besides, if Yahoo were vulnerable to a massive hacking attack in 2013, it’s a good bet it was just as vulnerable when Abedin was carelessly using it to handle her country’s secrets.

Regarding the contents of Abedin’s emails, one contained the username and password for her government laptop.

Likewise, in 2009 Abedin reportedly forwarded an email from long-time Clinton confidante Sid Blumenthal to her Yahoo account.

That email contained the subject line “Important. Not for circulation. You only. Sid.” and began with the following: “CONFIDENTIAL… Re: Moscow Summit.”

Whatever “confidential” information Blumenthal wrote regarding the “Moscow Summit” was deemed so sensitive that most of it “was redacted before being published,” according to The Daily Caller.

Keep in mind Abedin forwarded these emails to her Yahoo account when anyone who was paying attention to computer security issues would know full well the risks of doing so.

Only a couple days after CNN ran a report about a Yahoo hack on July 13, 2012, Abedin went ahead and forwarded yet another email to her Yahoo account anyway.

Amazing …

Remember, these were the ingrates who ran our government during former President Barack Obama’s tenure in the White House.

With Obama now gone and President Donald Trump in his place, however, such fools have lost their jobs — hopefully for good.

It would be be better still if all of them — including Clinton — were brought to justice and made to pay for their recklessness.
