Twitter Bans Roger Stone for Cursing CNN, Lets Fonda Talk About Raping Kids

Share

It has become blatantly obvious over the past few years that large social media platforms are run by liberals with an overt bias against conservatives that is displayed through subversive acts of censorship — like deleting, suspending or “shadow-banning” certain accounts — in a bid to silence voices that dissent from the liberal narratives.

As a byproduct of that liberal bias, centrist and conservative voices have been silenced or kicked off the platforms for saying controversial things while liberal voices are at best ignored — at worst openly cheered — and allowed to remain after saying even more despicable things.

For example, look at how long-time Donald Trump friend and confidant Roger Stone had his Twitter account permanently suspended in October 2017 after he let loose an expletive-laden rant in a series of tweets aimed at CNN anchors and personalities, according to Vanity Fair.

That suspension was supposedly part of Twitter’s broad crackdown against online harassment and hatefulness.

Consider the recent tweet-storm of vile threats — since deleted — involving kidnapping, pedophilia and rape aimed at Trump’s family, other government officials and immigration enforcement agents by leftist Hollywood actor Peter Fonda.

As of Friday afternoon, his account is still active — and still contains plenty of vile posts — despite the horrifically hateful and harassing series of tweets he had sent out against Trump’s son, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the families of Border Patrol and ICE agents.

Independent media analyst Mark Dice noted in a tweet, “So Roger Stone got permanently banned from Twitter for swearing at CNN, but Peter Fonda makes rape threats to a child and Twitter lets him keep his account. Twitter’s leadership is despicable.”

Indeed, especially when one considers that Fonda’s highly offensive and inappropriate tweets — as well as some of the rest of the content on his timeline — would obviously be considered in violation of Twitter’s Hateful Conduct Policy, and should warrant a suspension or some other form of punishment, as so often occurs with conservative accounts.

Are you sick and tired of the hypocritical double standards exploited by the left?

The policy states “We do not tolerate behavior that harasses, intimidates, or uses fear to silence another person’s voice,” and proceeds to more explicitly explain: “You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.”

Examples of hateful conduct that will not be tolerated — unless done by a progressive or liberal who enjoys leftist privilege — includes such things as: “violent threats; wishes for the physical harm, death, or disease of individuals or groups; references to mass murder, violent events, or specific means of violence in which/with which such groups have been the primary targets or victims; behavior that incites fear about a protected group; and, repeated and/or non-consensual slurs, epithets, racist and sexist tropes, or other content that degrades someone.”

Fonda’s Twitter rant easily ran afoul of several of those examples and was quite obviously in violation of the hateful conduct policy … yet his account remains active while others have been silenced for far less offensive violations.

It really isn’t “funny,” but the sarcastic point remains quite true.

This is a question we all need to be asking — liberal media included — because we on the right have grown exceedingly tired of the left’s double standard, and they really won’t like it if that standard begins to be applied back toward them.
