Death of the Democratic Party? Far Left Pushing it Toward 1972 McGovern-Style Implosion

Is the Democratic Party, as we have known it, going to die thanks to an insurgency from the far left wing?

It would appear so, based on how its leaders behaved during the longest federal government shutdown in American history.

And that may mean the party is heading for a 1972-style smackdown in which George McGovern, the far-left Democratic nominee for president, lost by the worst margin in the nation’s history.
