Hilarious Mom Shoves Chicken Nuggets in Car Vents, Makes Perfect Analogy to Being a Mother

Share

All moms have been there. You’re in the car, your child is about to lose it, and there’s nary a place to stop in sight.

You’re at your wit’s end. You just need to focus on the road.

But you can sense the inevitable coming. Let the meltdown commence.

Or, maybe not. You’re resourceful and creative — there’s no reason why you can’t MacGyver your way out of this one, right?

Meet one such creative mom-of-two Misty Lynn Gilliland. Her recent Facebook post has received a huge amount of viral attention.

Forced to act fast when her toddler was on the verge of an on-the-road “breakdown,” Gilliland did the only thing she could think of. With hot chicken nuggets on board, she used her resources and found a way to cool them down.

Her photo portrays motherhood to a T. And fellow moms are getting a kick out of it.

Do you have any genius parenting hacks?

“I thought I was the only one who did this…” one commenter shared. “Very clever!” another said.

It’s plain to see from the almost 4,000 comments, Gilliland is not alone in her food-cooling endeavors. And with over 38,000 shares, there’s no doubt this post will inspire many to follow in Gilliland’s footsteps.

Of course, this mom isn’t the first to get creative on the go. Check out this video from Awestruck with some super clever “mom hacks” every mother will love.

I’m definitely using the to-go cup hack. All too often sippy cup tops go missing, so the Press N’ Seal solution is genius.

I’ve been using that bedsheet solution for years, though. It’s encouraging to know I’m more creative than I realized.

Will you be trying out some of these ideas? Do you have some genius hacks of your own?

Don’t hold back. Share your ideas with others because you never know who might be in need of a helping hand.
