Meeting Room Is Half Empty for UK Prime Minister All Because Trump Entered the Building

Share

President Donald Trump already had star status before he entered office. Since becoming president of the United States, however, that status has soared off the charts to worldwide notoriety. Even in a place like Davos, Switzerland, all eyes were on him.

For UK Prime Minister Theresa May, this fact left her in a rather embarrassing situation.

Just as May was about to give a speech, word spread that President Trump had arrived. A flood of reporters promptly left May to get a glimpse and hopefully a comment from Trump. It was quite an entrance.

Thus, the room in which May was set to give her speech ended up being half empty. Pretty embarrassing for May to say the least.

Of course, many of the global elitist and critics of the president called this display, “sad.” Liberal BuzzFeed reporter Ben Smith went to Twitter to announce his disdain for this reaction.

“What’s your message for everyone here, sir?” reporters asked as Trump made his way into the building.

His response was simple: “Peace and Prosperity.”

Lucikly, no one was hurt from the press that was squeezing in around him.

While some leftist critics of the president claim that this move threatened relations between the U.S. and the UK, President Trump dismissed those claims saying that he and May “like each other a lot.”

Let’s just be honest. Liberals are upset over this, because they hate President Trump and anything that makes him look popular. Had this been President Obama, no one would’ve bat an eye.
