Kash Patel Sends a Warning After FBI Rescues Teen Girl Who Was Missing for 18 Months

A Utah teen who was missing for 18 months has been found in Oregon.

Kylie Arellano, who was reported missing from Garden City in May 2025, was found in the company of a 39-year-old man who was arrested, but has not yet been identified, according to KUTV.

“Tonight, local police in Oregon brought a minor who had been missing for a year and a half to safety, acting on information provided by our FBI Salt Lake City Field Office,” FBI Director Kash Patel told Fox News.

“We are grateful she can return home, and we will continue working with our partners to hold those responsible accountable,” Patel added.

“To anyone using gore groups to target and exploit children: the FBI and our partners are coming for you.”

“We are using every tool at our disposal to combat nihilistic violent extremism, bring offenders to justice and protect America’s children.”

According to Newsweek, “gore groups” have been on the FBI’s radar as groups that “blackmail minors and coerce them into performing violent or sexual acts to themselves and others, footage of which is then circulated among members.”

The groups have a “shared extremist ideology that promotes societal collapse and celebrates violence,” the report said.

“Members used encrypted chats to identify vulnerable targets, manipulate them into compliance and force them to produce extremist content that include self-harm, harm to animals and sexual exploitation of siblings, as well as threats of violence, suicide and murder,” the report said.

Some of their victims have been as young as 13, the report said.

Fox News reported that FBI and Oregon officials worked together to find Arellano. The outlet said authorities believe the girl met her abductor on Snapchat.

“The FBI and the Rich County Sheriff’s Office have been actively investigating this case for more than a year and pursuing every lead received from across the U.S. and in other countries. As this case is ongoing, no further information will be released at this time,” the FBI’s Salt Lake City field office said in a statement.

Last year, Rich County Sheriff Dale Stacey said there had been reports of sightings in various states.
