Bruce Lee was a pop culture icon and is widely considered one of the most famous martial artist actors of all time. Lee collapsed during filming of Enter the Dragon and was rushed to the hospital. Doctors diagnosed him with a cerebral edema, which swelling in the brain due to excess fluid. They were able to reduce the swelling.

A month later while filming of Game of Death, Lee complained of a headache, went to take a nap, then never woke up. Most of the movie had been made at this point, but Lee was not only the star but also the director, writer, and producer. Robert Clouse, director of Enter the Dragon, helped finish the film but only used 11 minutes of the original footage. Clouse used two different stand-ins for Lee’s part.
