Startling Chart Projects Mind-Boggling Surge in 2026 Ballots Just for Dems, Unprecedented in US History
Conservatives unhappy with the 2026 midterm election results have been raising questions about the election’s legitimacy — or lack thereof.
One data point they have seized on is the estimated approximate number of people who voted for each party in the Tuesday elections.
One popular chart posted on the social media platform X shows that approximately 70 million Americans voted for Democrats, while approximately 55 million Americans voted for Republicans.
Republican votes stayed the same.

The problem, conservatives have alleged, is that these numbers differ too sharply from the numbers recorded during the 2022 midterm elections.
During those midterms, approximately 54 million Americans voted for Republicans, while approximately 51 million Americans voted for Democrats.
Commenting on the difference between the 2022 and 2026 election results, COVID lockdown critic Kevin Bass wrote on social media that “Democrats materialized 20 million new votes.”
Some liberal social media users pushed back on Bass’s theory by pointing to the 2024 presidential election results, when both Republicans and Democrats seemed to similarly “materialize” millions of “new votes.”
Specifically, approximately 74 million Americans voted for Republicans in 2024, while approximately 70 million Americans voted for Democrats.

What’s known for certain is that, according to NBC News, the difference between Republican votes and Democratic votes in the 2026 elections was historic.
“Democrats are on track for the second-biggest House popular vote edge in the last 50 years,” NBC News reported on Thursday.
“This will also be the largest midterm margin for one party since 1974, when the country punished the Republican Party in the first election after Richard Nixon resigned following the Watergate scandal,” the report continued.

What’s also known, according to analysis by artificial intelligence chatbot Grok, is that going back to 1946, every time there’s been a massive discrepancy in the total number of Republican and Democratic votes, Democrats have come out on top.
Responding to all this data, particularly Bass’s chart, a number of conservative social media users, including President Donald Trump’s former spokeswoman Liz Harrington, have suggested that Democrats cheated in the 2026 midterms.
I think they guessed wrong and over cheated. But is anything going to be done about it?

No evidence has emerged to corroborate this claim except for one reality — the Democrats’ stubborn refusal to secure America’s elections.
From opposing voter ID laws and voter fraud audits to supporting ballot harvesting and mail-in ballots, Democrats have done everything in their power to sow insecurity and uncertainty about America’s elections.
Conservatives like Bass and Harrington likely wouldn’t be so troubled about the 2026 midterm election results if it weren’t for this very uncertainty.
To be clear, we don’t want to ever have to doubt election results.
But so long as Democrats insist on propping up an insecure system where almost anything goes, they have no right to expect anything other than doubt and uncertainty.
