A curious trend is currently dominating the box office charts these last few years, and yet very few in Hollywood seem to be aware of it.
Since COVID shut down theaters and brought streaming to prominence, Hollywood’s financial standing took a nosedive. Try as they might, Tinseltown can’t blame all of its current woes on 2020, however; the increased politicization of Hollywood films was arguably what alienated audiences most.
Yet, some films continue to far outperform box office projections. In fact, films that fit this trend in recent years like “F1,” and “Barbie” have seen massive success.
