Trump Declares Musk Safe from Dem Lawfare, Will Do Whatever He Needs to to Protect Him
As the party of revenge sharpens its knives in advance of a potential takeover of the House, President Donald Trump said he will ensure Democrats fail in their efforts to persecute Elon Musk.
Musk has not only fueled Republican campaigns with his resources, but has also helped Trump whittle down the size of government and launched the war on fraud with his Department of Government Efficiency.
“We definitely have a lot of questions about Elon Musk’s role in DOGE and it is something we plan to investigate,” remarked Sara Guerrero, communications director for Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia of California, who sits on the House Oversight Committee, according to Politico.
Miranda Devine of the New York Post noted to Trump that Democrats are looking to arrest anyone around him, prompting the commander-in-chief to add that he would not allow those who have helped him to be victims of show trials calling themselves investigations.
In particular, Devine asked about Democratic threats toward Musk, which could include nationalizing SpaceX.
“They won’t, it’s talk. But if it is talk, we’ll have to protect them,” he said.
“I can tell you this. If they do, we’ll just have to protect those people,” he said.
Devine asked if he would issue blanket pardons.
“Well, that’s what Biden did. He gave everybody a pardon. I mean, you had the congressional committee, the unselect committee set up. He gave everybody– it was a corrupt committee. They were all corrupt. He gave everybody a pardon,” he said.
Asked if he would go that far, Trump said, “I would if I needed to, sure.”
He emphasized that no one would be left to face Democratic wrath.
“I would not even think about it. I’d do it. I did it for J6,” he said.
In a recent post on X, Musk said his primary worry is not necessarily for himself, but for the nation.
“My biggest concern is that if there is a clean sweep by Democrats of the House, Senate and Presidency in 2028, they will: 1. Make DC and Puerto Rico states to gain a strong majority in the Senate,” Musk wrote.

Musk predicted Democrats would also “open the borders and legalize everyone living in America illegally to cement a permanent majority.”
Further, he said that Democrats would “increase the size of the Supreme Court to gain an immediate majority.”
That tactic was explored in the Biden era, but failed to materialize.
“This would result in America becoming a permanent one-party state and the end of democracy in any meaningful sense of the word,” he said.
“All that is needed to ensure this doesn’t happen is 51 Republican senators in 2029. That is why you should vote for Republican senators this election. Other reasons are irrelevant compared to this one,” he wrote.
In a follow-up post, he wrote that “it would be game over for America” if Democrats get what they want.
