Watch: DSA Co-Chair Calls for Annihilation of Israel, Describing 'One-State' Palestinian Solution With Jerusalem as Capital

If the Democratic Socialists of America have any sort of influence over how Congress acts, that means it will definitionally have some sort of influence regarding how any sort of peace between Israel and the constituent elements of the Palestinian Authority is made.

Since the Oslo Accords in 1993, the backbone of any agreement to finally end the bloodshed has been the framework of the “two-state solution.”

It’s been revised in various proposals, but it effectively provides for an internationally recognized Palestinian state that governs the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Where the capital will be, what the exact territory is, and what the terms of diplomacy between Israel and Palestine would involve are matters that are under negotiation, but this is effectively what decades of negotiations have led the world toward.

And sure, we hear chants of “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!” That would imply that the entirety of the territory of Israel would be Palestinian, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean.

However, we’ve been told that this is crazy patter from Ivy League student socialists and not an actual policy by people who might be elected. It’s just a slogan. It doesn’t mean anything.

Except when you talk to the president of the Democratic Socialists of America, who says that yes, that’s exactly what her party means to do — and, thanks to the fact that the DSA wants to turn the Democratic Party into the official vehicle of their policy, what one half of the two-party system would eventually view as the endgame of the conflict: ethnic cleansing of the only Jewish state in the world.

This has somehow floated under the radar, despite the fact that DSA co-chair Megan Romer told The New Yorker last week this was precisely what they believed.

Based on the reasoning the left has used for the last three years, isn’t removing a people from their ancient homeland (like the Jews from Israel)… genocide?

The question, posed by host David Remnick: “What is the position that DSA is headed toward here? Is it for a two-state solution, or is it a binational, one-state solution? What in fact is the position of DSA?”

Romer’s answer contained considerably less nuance than Remnick’s question, which is really quite amazing when you think about it. (She certainly didn’t.)

“Yeah, so our position is a free Palestine with the capital in Jerusalem,” she said.

“And so, I think that could be safely read as a one-state solution.”

So, just to be clear for everyone who has been braying (quite mendaciously) about “genocide” and “ethnic cleansing” by Israel, this is a clarion call for genocide and ethnic cleansing by Palestinian forces without specifically using those words.

Think about the practical effects of this “one-state solution.” The Palestinians would take over and immediately force the Jewish people out of their ancestral homeland.

Those who didn’t leave would be killed, quite indiscriminately except for one factor — their Jewishness — by the only organized political entities capable of taking over a one-state Palestine. Unlike the fake calls of “genocide” hurled against Israel for a targeted war against terrorist forces, that’s very real by-the-book definitional genocide.

To the extent that the Palestinian education system doesn’t already resemble that of Nazi Germany toward the Jewish people, it would resemble it more uniformly and poisonously. This would undoubtedly be exported to the West somehow, some way. Indeed, anti-Semitism has already been the primary cultural export from the Middle East, especially from Iran and its proxies.

In just two sentences, Megan Romer said all that, and she said it with a smile. Not only will the DSA have more members in Congress next January, almost as a fait accompli considering the districts these radicals have been nominated in, but keep in mind that there’s the possibility of a DSA president in 2028 in the personage of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

If that sentence, that smile, and that outcome doesn’t scare you when it comes to where this world is heading regarding the Jewish people, nothing ever will.
