Kareem Hunt, a third-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2017 NFL draft, exploded onto the scene during his first NFL season.

In his first game, Hunt took the New England Patriots by storm, running for 148 yards and a touchdown as well as notching five catches for 98 yards and another two scores in the Chiefs’ 42-27 upset win.

Hunt earned Pro Bowl honors in his first season, accumulating 1,327 yards on the ground to lead the league.

After establishing himself as one of the league’s best young running backs, the 22-year-old is having fun in his first NFL offseason.

Unfortunately, a night of partying over the weekend resulted in Hunt being named in a police report.

According to Cleveland.com, Abigail Ottinger, 19, a student at Kent State University, told police that Hunt “shoved and pushed her” around 3:45 a.m. Saturday outside of his hotel apartment in the Metropolitan at the 9 complex in Cleveland.

Police reports state that a group of people that included Hunt’s friends as well as Ottinger and another woman was traveling around Cleveland in a party bus and making brief stops at different bars.

After the group returned to Hunt’s residence, the two women were kicked out of the apartment.

A friend of Hunt’s told police the women were kicked out when the group discovered they were only 19.

Ottinger, however, says she was kicked out of Hunt’s apartment because she did not want to “hook up with one of the men.”

According to TMZ Sports, one of Hunt’s friends told police a woman, apparently Ottinger, became angry when asked to leave the room and started “calling him and Hunt the N-word and specifically stated, ‘F— you, n—–. You ain’t s—.'”

Hunt’s friend said the women stayed in the hallway for “about 30 minutes” as Ottinger continued to “yell and pound on the apartment door.”

When one of the female friends of the group went to tell the 19-year-old women to leave, she was allegedly “punched in the face,” the report said.

That’s when Hunt came out of the apartment and, according to Ottinger, assaulted her.

Ottinger suffered “abrasions to her knee and hand and a scratch on her chest,” according to the police report.

Hotel security was called, and a guard escorted the women downstairs and asked police for help in handling the complaints, the report says.

According to Cleveland.com, dispatch logs say Ottinger was “very anxious” for officers to arrive, but also “uncooperative.” The accuser told authorities a “player” assaulted her and a man at the front desk refused to let her call police and called the woman a derogatory term.

Ottinger told Cleveland.com that “things got physical” while she was at the hotel residence, but she declined further comment.

Cleveland police Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said the incident appears to be a “cross complaint,” meaning each person who claims to have been assaulted would be directed to the prosecutor’s office if he or she wanted to pursue charges.

No charges had been filed as of Tuesday morning.
