William Shatner Expertly Trolls SJWs on Twitter, James Woods Would Be Proud
It’s the kind of boldness we expect from Captain Kirk.
William Shatner, the man who personified the can-do spirit of the “Star Trek” series, has been a thorn in the side of the liberaldom’s social justice warriors for some time now.
But a Twitter post he published Sunday hit a new level in leftie-baiting, mocking both the conspicuous the distaste of today’s progressives for the sins of the nation’s past and their undeniable interest in a government-supported here and now.
Shatner’s Twitter post nailed it perfectly.
Naturally, he wasn’t flooded with responses for liberals coughing up bills with Washington, Jefferson and Jackson’s faces.
But what he was doing was scoring another hit in his personal war against the SJWs who have gotten so loud now that they have Twitter handles and internet avatars to hide behind.
Shatner is a Canadian citizen, but it’s by no means his first foray into his adopted country’s cultural wars – and not the first time he’s slammed the SJWs for the jokes they really are.
In July of last year, he published a Twitter post that cut right to the self-identification of the current generation of liberals – the ones who think white males are a scourge on the human race, and that only the progressives of today’s liberal movement are guaranteeing American freedoms.
Why is it that SJW's think they can align themselves with those that demanded social reform in the 60's? https://t.co/6CRVzawgLG

That’s a fantastic question – and it’s not one that 21st century liberals can answer with any degree of coherence.
Considering the swamp of leftist miasma that makes up cultural thought in Hollywood, a Twitter post like Shatner’s comes as a breath of fresh air.
Granted, we don’t necessarily know how much of the liberal agenda of the moment Shatner accepts. His old television shipmate George Takei is one of the country’s most outspoken proponents of gay marriage, and Shatner has been known to take swipes at his erstwhile ship’s navigator. Regardless, on the real essence of mocking SJWs, Shatner is right on the mark here.
Conservative actor James Woods, the unofficial king of right-thinking Twitter postings emerging from the Left Coast, must have been pleased to see Shatner’s latest contribution to the cause.
Being outside liberal orthodoxy in Hollywood is a risky business these days – as “Last Man Standing” Tim Allen might attest – which makes Shatner’s willingness to stay in the fight all the move enjoyable.
But, hey, it’s the kind of boldness we expect from Captain Kirk.
