Actor Chris Pratt Reveals He Didn't Meet His Wife Like Most Celebrities: They Met at Church!

Share

Just like the rest of us, celebrity couples often have incredible stories to tell when it comes to how they met. While actors often find that romance sparks on set, others have more intriguing stories.

Kate Winslet, for example, met her husband, Ned Rocknroll, while running away from a house fire.

Still others meet through mutual friends. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met on a blind date, as did Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher.

But far fewer celebrities can say they met the way Chris Pratt and his new bride, Katherine Schwarzenegger, did.

As Pratt revealed in a recent interview with Extra, he and Schwarzenegger were brought together by their faith.

“We met at church,” he said. “There’s a lot of kismet, a lot of connections, but that is where we met.”

Pratt has previously spoken out about how important his Christian beliefs are to him and on the attacks he has suffered as a result of his faith.

The actor expressed how thankful he is to have the support of his new wife, saying, “We feel nothing but blessed.”

According to People, Schwarzenegger’s deep spirituality was one of the characteristics that first caught the “Jurassic World” actor’s eye.

“They have the same outlook on the world, and their faith ties them together. He’s really impressed that she’s vocal and unashamed about her beliefs in God,” an anonymous source said. “Because that’s how he is.”

“He’s constantly around other people who have no faith or are apologetic about it, but not her. She is willing to talk about it to anyone who will listen.”

“They’re very compatible and have a lot in common. Family is very important to both of them, as well as their spirituality.”

The pair married this June in an intimate ceremony in front of their closest family and friends.

Pratt shared on Instagram, “We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love. It was intimate, moving and emotional.”

Schwarzenegger also wrote on Instagram of her gratitude, saying, “So beyond blessed to laugh with you, love you, go on adventures with you, kiss you and live this magical life with you. You make life joy filled!”

“We feel blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives,” the stars shared.
