Born in Arkansas, Josh Manning grew up in a small town of 600 or so, mostly farmers or farmhands. He began to love history, politics, and government studies in 7th grade thanks to a life-changing history and civics teacher named Mr. McBride.
After earning a bachelor of arts degree at Lyon College and majoring in politics, he spent time in Cambridge, MA earning a masters in public policy from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. He spent his time at Harvard doing everything possible to confront and confound leftists.
After a number of years working in academe, he began work at a rapidly growing political blog called the Conservative Tribune. Within a year the Western Journal's parent company, Liftable Media, absorbed Conservative Tribune (and Josh along with it). Since that point, he has held various leadership positions and now serves as senior editor for all news at the Western Journal.
He has a gorgeous wife and two incredible kids. He also makes life possible for two highly destructive boxers and a pit bull dame who is practically perfect in every way.
