Breaking: 'We Can't Stand with Hasan Piker' - Michigan Democrat Turns on El-Sayed, Endorses GOP's Mike Rogers Instead

A Michigan Democrat currently serving in the U.S. House of Representatives has rejected the candidacy of Abdulrahman Mohamed “Abdul” El-Sayed, Michigan’s Democratic nominee for the United States Senate.

She instead gave her endorsement of El-Sayed’s Republican opponent Mike Rogers.

Citing El-Sayed’s extremist ties to figures like noted terrorist sympathizer Hasan Piker, Rep. Haley Stevens — who narrowly lost to El-Sayed in the state’s Democratic primary race in August — announced her endorsement of Rogers on Sunday.

El-Sayed has also faced intense criticism for his numerous ties to the Muslim Brotherhood.

“…[W]ho we are as Michiganders is not hate,” Stevens said in a video posted to her X account Sunday. “This is the conscience of the Senate right now.”

Stevens appeared alongside Rogers at a campaign event at a Detroit church Sunday.

“We have to stand with country. We can’t stand with hate. We can’t stand with Hasan Piker,” Stevens said.
