Child Rapists, Killers, MS-13 Gang Members Among Those Already Detained by Border Patrol

Share

Remember all that talk about illegal immigrants are nothing more than non-violent people who simply want a better life in America and have every reason to be let in despite America’s immigration laws?

Well, yes, about that. Without debating the last few parts about wanting a better life and being deserving of a chance, and that whole legal hurdle being totally unfair, it turns out the first part isn’t necessarily true.

Just ask Customs and Border Protection.

“Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector stopped several criminal aliens and three gang members from making their way successfully into the U.S. interior,” Breitbart reported Saturday.

“Those arrested included two child rapists, two killers, a member of the 18th Street gang and two MS-13 gang members.

“On the day before Thanksgiving, McAllen Station agents arrested a man who illegally crossed the border from Mexico near the town of Hidalgo, Texas. During processing at the station, agents discovered the man is a Honduran national and a confirmed member of the 18th Street Gang.

“Later that same day, other agents working near Hidalgo arrested a Salvadoran man who illegally crossed the border. Records showed that man is a confirmed Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang member.”

That wasn’t all. According to Brietbart, in Texas, Border Patrol agents apprehended a Mexican national near the town of Los Ebanso after he had been deported following an arrest and conviction in Tukwila, Washington, for child rape.

After a sentence of 41 months behind bars, the man was deported. He ended up back in the United States, no doubt just looking for a better life just like our forebears did.

Are too many criminals getting into the United States illegally?

Near Roma, Texas, another man simply looking for the American dream who also happened to have a predilection for young children was also taken into custody.

“The agents arrested a Salvadoran man after he illegally re-entered the U.S. from Mexico,” Breitbart reported.

“During processing, agents learned from court records that the man received a conviction in Aurora, Colorado, for sexual assault of a child. The Colorado court sentenced the illegal alien to three years in prison.”

Other fun discoveries in the Rio Grande Valley sector recently reported by Breitbart: A man who who had a North Carolina conviction for involuntary manslaughter and an MS-13 member with “an active homicide arrest warrant issued by his home country.”

Now, what’s the point here, other than that people who are committing crimes by crossing into our country illegally have often committed other crimes?

Well, the thing is that we like to ignore the last part. In fact, we like to pretend that the last part doesn’t even exist. If you don’t, a cry of bigotry is very quickly raised.

And yet, this is who the Border Patrol quite frequently manages to detain.

It’s time to stop wallpapering over this — particularly when caravans of over 10,000 migrants are heading our way.

It simply won’t do to keep pretending that every single one of them merely wants to pursue the American dream when they won’t even follow our immigration laws.
