Author of Anti-Trump "Fire & Fury" Gets Kicked off MSNBC for Being Too Radical

Share

Michael Wolff saw his star-power skyrocket reach dizzying heights upon the release of his Donald Trump exposé “Fire & Fury.” And just that fast, Wolff and his tell-all book is now crashing and burning. And I mean crash and burn “Battle: Los Angeles” style.

But here’s the kicker; Wolff’s fall from grace had nothing to do with Hillary Clinton’s much feared “vast right-wing conspiracy,” or from Fox News, or from the likes of Breitbart or The Daily Caller.

So who’s making Wolff look like he just got bonked on the back of the head with a frying pan wielded by Foghorn Leghorn? Hold on to your hat … the same liberal media that sung his praises just as recently as a few short days ago.

Upon the release of his rather factually dubious book, Wolff himself even admitted he wasn’t sure about the “reliability of the specifics contained in the rest of its pages.” Nevertheless, the liberal media lapped it up.

To illustrate just how deeply MSNBC (or more specifically, Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough of “Morning Joe”) were enamored with Wolff’s tabloid-esque writing, Travis Gettys of the everything politics RawStory.com reported back on Jan. 17, 2018:

“‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough said the debate has centered over what words Trump used to insult mostly black countries, while praising mostly white Norway, but he said the incident matches up with depictions of the president drawn by journalist Michael Wolff in his Fire and Fury book.”

“At the heart of Michael Wolff’s book is a portrait of a president in over his head, who is incompetent when it came to issues,” Scarborough said. “Led around by the nose by staff members on issues, that the last person in front of this president would be the person who would be persuading him. Here we see a week later, evidence of that.”

Oh, but the worm has turned. And I don’t mean Dennis Rodman.

As tweeted by Breaking911.com, video is posted of Wolff taking some rather pointed questions, and even more heated accusations, of subtle (and sometimes, none-too subtle) insinuations of a torrid affair between President Trump and his UN Ambassador Nikki Haley that landed on the pages of “Fire & Fury.”

Do you think Michael Wolff's credibility is totally gone?

Even the once great magazine turned doctor’s waiting room pamphlet, Newsweek, joined in on the dogpiling of Wolff.

During a tense MSNBC appearance Thursday, Wolff scuffled with Brzezinski, who ultimately shut down the interview and kicked him off the show.

“You might be having a fun time playing a little game dancing around this, but you’re slurring a woman,” Brzezinski said to Wolff, referring to U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, whom Wolff has teased as the subject of his claim. “It’s disgraceful.”

While Brzezinski did allow a certain degree of righteous indignation to be leveled at Wolff for his innuendo-thick book, she blew any semblance of journalistic integrity when she blurted, “You’re on the set of ‘Morning Joe.’ We don’t BS here.”

Let’s be honest … the set of “Morning Joe” has produced more than enough methane from the BS dumped on their set.

At least someone found a useful purpose for “Fire & Fury.” In a very surprising move, the Trump White House plans on snapping up a few copies of Wolff’s magnum opus.

According to White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah, “Well, I think we’re going to be picking up a few copies. You know, we need books to be, you know, door openers and holders and things like that.”
