Chick-fil-A Steps Up After Florence Devastates East Coast
Ask any radical leftist about Chick-fil-A and they’ll probably tell you it’s a evil, hateful fast-food chain.
That notion appears to be based on little else other than the fact that Chick-fil-A wears its strong Christian beliefs on its sleeve.
Chick-fil-A is so evil, in fact, that they’ve been caught doing the unthinkable.
They were caught red-handed helping the brave first responders toiling through Tropical Storm Florence.
On Monday, a Chick-fil-A in Wilmington, North Carolina, opened to feed emergency response personnel who were working to restore power to the community, according to WCNC-TV.
Wilmington took a direct hit from Florence.
The Chick-fil-A kept the drive-thru open for non-emergency personnel but reserved the main dining room for the first responders, emergency personnel and lineman, as long as they could provide identification.
The restaurant only required identification, however — the meals were all provided for free.
And the kindness didn’t stop there — all the people who worked to serve food to the emergency personnel were staff from across the area.
Even better, all the workers volunteered to help out. There wasn’t some massive corporate edict mandating the aid.
“Although we’re (owned) individually the Wilmington Chick Fil A operators have a great relationship and pulled together to open the restaurant that had power first,” store officials said in a message to WCNC-TV. “Everyone working is a team member that volunteered to serve today.”
Chick-fil-A said that they would continue to serve the first responders until the restaurant ran out of food or supplies.
A Chick-fil-A in Raleigh also opened on Sunday to serve free meals to those affected by Florence, WCNC-TV reported. That’s an awesome gesture considering Chick-fil-A is typically closed on Sunday, a practice put in place in 1946 by founder S. Truett Cathy who wanted to honor the Sabbath and give his employees a day of rest each week.
This is hardly the first time Chick-fil-A has acted on its strong Christian roots and given aid to their neighbors in times of need.
Chick-fil-A also opened on Sunday to feed people who were donating blood after the mass shooting at an Orlando nightclub in 2016. Chick-fil-A made a similar gesture when a tornado in Texas killed 11 people in late 2015 — and those are just a few examples.
It’s not a stretch to say that Chick-fil-A’s charitable actions are directly tied to their Christian values.
And yet that’s the same reason the far-left seems to hate the chicken chain so much.
Go figure.
