Dutch Official Reportedly Commits Suicide After Posting Video Alleging She Was Gang Raped by Muslims

A politician with the Netherlands’ right-wing Freedom Party committed suicide this week after posting a video to YouTube alleging she had been raped by a group of Muslims.

Willie Dille, 53, had been a member of Dutch parliament between 2010 and 2012. She was currently a member of the city council in The Hague, Holland’s third-largest city.

The video was posted on Facebook Wednesday and removed shortly after it was shared. In it, she alleged she was raped by a group of unidentified Muslim men over a year ago.

“I just want the world to know the truth. On 15th March 2017, I was kidnapped, raped and abused by a group of Muslims because they wanted to keep my mouth shut in the city council of The Hague,” Dille said, according to the Daily Mail.

“After they were done they said: ‘Do you respect Muhammad, do you respect Allah, do you respect Arnoud?'”

The last part is referring to Arnoud van Doorn, a former member of the Freedom Party who later broke with the group and converted to Islam. Dille also said van Doorn had something to do with orchestrating the attack and the men had threatened her to keep her mouth shut in the city council chamber.

Hours after posting the video, Dille took her own life.

According to Fox News, a member of Geert Wilders’ Freedom Party said that Dille “could no longer bear what had happened to her and the reactions she had had.”

Police say that while Dille had approached them about an attack, she had declined to file a report.

Do you believe Willie Dille's allegations?

“We have had multiple contacts with her, including recently,” police spokeswoman Hilde Vijverberg said Thursday.

“We offered her help and said we need a formal complaint and concrete evidence to start an investigation,” Vijverberg said. “But she did not make a formal complaint and we did not get any concrete information to enable us to launch an inquiry.”

Dille came under fire in 2016 after she shared a video that suggested the use of nuclear weapons against Muslims.

Pauline Krikke, mayor of The Hague, issued a statement calling Dille “an involved and passionate councilor and colleague.”

“Dille stood for her cause,” Krikke said. “She could fiercely debate, but also often showed her humor. We will greatly miss her in the council and in the debate.”

Krikke planned to meet with prosecutors on Friday regarding the case.

As for Van Doorn, who currently leads a local Islamic Party, he’s denied the attack and is considering legal action, according to DutchNews.nl.
