Gov't Docs: Halper Hired Immediately After Trump Closed Gap With Hillary to 1%

Share

“There are only two tragedies in life: one is not getting what one wants, and the other is getting it.”

Oscar Wilde said that — or George Bernard Shaw or any number of other authors depending how deep you delve into Google. The point, however, isn’t who said it, but the fundamental truth behind the quote — the truth that sometimes what we think we want is actually the last thing we need.

Case in point? The woebegone efforts of the Deep State to bring down Donald Trump by manufacturing a conspiracy to rig American elections.

Despite a love affair with Marxism/Communism going back to the early 20th century, the American left decided the best way to hurt Trump would be to vilify their old friends in the former USSR and then tether Trump to them.

To follow the news in 2016 was to be inundated with stories of the budding “bromance” between GOP wolverine Trump and former Soviet KGB agent Vladimir Putin. With the Putin millstone chained to Trump’s neck, Deep State and the left thought he would sink unceremoniously to the bottom of the Potomac.

But drowning a wolverine isn’t as easy as they thought.

Unlike every other GOP politician in the history other than Ronald Reagan, Trump refused to back down. As Deep State’s bromance narrative failed, they changed tactics. Toothless, hypocritical innuendo wouldn’t work, so it was time to take the story to the next level. How better to do that than by tapping an old CIA spook — one who allegedly leaked info during at least one other presidential election — and insinuate him into the Trump campaign?

Enter Stefan Halper — a man whose very name blearily flashes “deep state.”

Thanks to intrepid reporting, not the least of which came from the Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel, Halper now appears to be the spy the Hillary Clinton campaign needed and the Obama administration could provide.

Should Democrats be worried about this revelation?

Ten days after Trump closed the polling gap with Hillary to just one point (Sept. 27, 2016 and Sept. 17, 2016 respectively), Obama’s government paid Halper $228,000 to work for “Other Defense Agencies.”

That, in and of itself, is a stunner. But it gets better than the Obama administration spending a quarter million dollars on an old spook to work for an unknown government agency.

Fast forward to July 2017. Trump is in office. The Trump-Russia investigation isn’t bearing fruit, and the narrative is growing stale. What does Deep State do? On July 26, 2017 they appear to have extended Halper’s contract on a $129,000 option through March 2018.

While the money is important, the timing is infinitely more important. We learned Sunday that Halper wrote Carter Page asking for information on the Trump camp’s handling of the latest twists in the Russia investigation. The date of that email: July 28, 2017 — two days after Halper’s $129,000 option was recorded by the government.

Two days after being paid twice the median household income in the US, Halper began searching for even more inside Trump info.

Call it a coincidence. Call it happenstance. Call it whatever you like.

I call it timing that’s far too unlikely to not be investigated. And make no mistake, that is exactly why Deep State, Democrats and the media are terrified over Trump’s demand that the DOJ be investigated.

They know they left far too much evidence behind. After all, Hillary was supposed to win. Why clean up a mess if your new boss asked you to make it?

But she didn’t win. And because of that sloppiness, there are too many bodies for them to ever bury in time.

Bodies like Halper’s presence, his suspect time of hiring, the fact  the name of the agency that hired him is concealed, the timing of his option being exercised, the Carter Page email, and on and on. And that’s just in reference to Halper. We haven’t even mentioned FISA, Lynch, Comey, Rosenstein, Strzok, McCabe, and the rest of this cabal of Deep State traitors.

We all love Trump’s tax cuts, the war on Obamacare, his America-first mentality and tenacity. But it may turn out that Trump’s crowing legacy will be pulling the scab off the festering sore that is Deep State — and then cleaning it out.
