James Woods Nails LA City Councilman Arrested at ICE Protest the Way Only Woods Can

Share

The showboating never stops.

Democrats frustrated by the failure of one tactic after another to stop President Donald Trump from exercising the powers of office American voters gave him are putting the pressure on Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials around the country for doing the job Congress has given them.

But in Los Angeles, one city councilman stepped over the line into illegal behavior for illegal immigrants.

According to the Los Angeles Times, City Councilman Mike Bonin – a Democrat, of course – was among a crowed of protesters arrested Monday during a demonstration that blocked the entrance to a federal detention center in downtown L.A. Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman Patricial Sandoval said Bonin was one of 18 arrested for failure to disperse.

The Harvard graduate – of course – laid out a line of liberal talking points for the crowd, while studiously ignoring the one truly salient fact of the whole situation: That the government is arresting people for crossing the border illegally.

“It is inconceivable and unforgivable that our country, our government, in our name, is ripping children from their mothers’ arms, is putting children in baby jails, is putting family in internment camps, and is refusing and failing to reunite” them, Bonin said, according to the Times.

As to what the government should be doing, Bonin spokesman David Graham-Caso had one idiotic formulation that no doubt went over well with the liberal crowd on the strength of its idiocy alone.

Graham-Caso told Fox that his boss would “like to see the federal government not ripping babies away from their mothers and not putting families in concentration camps — that would be a start.”

Actually, what the country needs to be doing is exactly what President Donald Trump and his administration are trying to do – getting control of a border situation that’s been allowed to fester for decades.

Is playing the illegal alien card going to hurt Democrats in November?

Another thing the country needs to be doing is calling out Democrat frauds like Bonin – and the liberal media’s new Democrat crush in New York, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – who want to abolish ICE just to please the millions of illegal aliens and their liberal supporters who seem to think United States laws are meaningless if enough talking heads on CNN and MSNBC will criticize them.

Fortunately, conservative actor James Woods is around do to exactly that.

In a Twitter post published Monday afternoon, Woods held up Bonin for the scorn he deserves.

“The councilman would ‘like to see the federal government not putting families in concentration camps,’” Woods wrote, mocking Bonin’s spokesman. “This raving hyperbole Is an abhorrent insult to families devastated by real concentration camps in WWII. What a fool.”

And Woods had plenty of company agreeing with him.

“Showboats” sums it up perfectly.

Democrats like Bonin are hoping the hoping the spotlight of arrests like this will keep media attention away from the very real problems that illegal immigration brings to the country, and keep the attention on their constant, unwarranted attacks against the Trump administration for handling a problem it inherited from the feckless Obama administration.

And considering every other attack that has been thrown against the Trump White House since 2017 – “Russia collusion,” Stormy Daniels – is stalling, illegal immigrants and “concentration camps” are about all they have in the tank heading into the November midterms.

It’s not much, but it’s what they’ve got. And the showboating’s never going to stop.

Hopefully, James Woods won’t stop either.
