Parkland Dad Attacks Feinstein for Behavior During Kavanaugh Hearing
While liberals are pushing a probably imaginary story about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh allegedly snubbing the father of a girl murdered in February’s school shooting in Florida, another parent of a Parkland victim is speaking out in ways that are all too real.
And his target is one of the Democratic Party’s loudest advocates for gun control — California Sen. Dianne Feinstein.
In a series of Twitter posts on Tuesday, Andrew Pollack, the father of 18-year-old slaying victim Meadow Pollack, called out Feinstein for using the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings as a platform for her “radical” anti-gun agenda.
As anyone who watched the hearings knows, Feinstein used Kavanaugh’s hearing to grandstand about his views on the Second Amendment and what liberals call “assault weapons.”
Pollack clearly wasn’t happy with the senator.
“Senator Feinstein, Please stop weaponizing the death of my daughter to push your radical agenda,” Pollack wrote in one tweet.

In another, he bashed the media as a whole for politicizing the deaths of his daughter and others for the sake of a liberal agenda.
“Certain politicians like @SenFeinstein and the media never miss out on a chance to use the deaths of the innocent victims of the Parkland school shooting,” he wrote.
“Truly pathetic and disgraceful.”

What’s interesting here is that too much media attention is being focused on the complaints of Fred Guttenberg, the father of another young woman who died in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Guttenberg, who was invited to the Kavanaugh hearing by Feinstein, told CNN Tuesday that Kavanaugh had deliberately snubbed him at a break in the hearing. He said he tried to shake the nominee’s hand, but Kavanaugh turned his back on him.
There’s no way of knowing for sure what was going through Kavanaugh’s mind at that moment, but it’s a good bet that anyone who’d just sat through the hours of abuse, protest and Democrat posturing that Kavanaugh had just experienced would have had a lot to occupy his thoughts.
It’s worth noting, also, that Kavanaugh has built a reputation over decades in Washington as a remarkably civil man. A deliberate snub of a grieving father, in other words, seems unlikely.
In a Twitter post Tuesday, deputy White House press secretary Raj Shah, meanwhile, stated that security staff in the hearing room intervened between the two men, breaking off their contact.

Regardless of what happened, the reality is that even the conversation is a Democrat distraction.
Brett Kavanaugh has spent a career in law proving that he considers the contents of the Constitution to be paramount for deciding legal cases.
Dianne Feinstein and her fellow travelers, meanwhile, have warped a major American political party into an organization that not only disregards the Constitution when it’s convenient, but seems to have open contempt for it.

In light of what’s really important to Americans who care about the Constitution, Pollack’s gripe with Feinstein is a lot more important than whatever happened or didn’t happen between Guttenberg and Kavanaugh.
And Pollack’s Twitter post about Kavanaugh and the Parkland shooting itself, which cites Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, Broward Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie and the FBI’s bungling of numerous warnings about the gunman makes a lot more sense than liberal gripes.

Another tweet summed up Pollack’s point perfectly.
“Stop using our heartbrak to raise money and push a dangerous agenda! It’s disgusting and pathetic,” Pollack wrote. “No wonder the country hates you people.”
A percentage of every dollar raised by a whacky politician using ‘Parkland’ as a fundraising tool, should go to the families of the victims.

Those are words that are all too real.
