They Took the Bait: Trump Thanks 'Vicious Young Congresswomen' for New Poll Numbers

Share

The new, radical element of the Democratic party, known as “The Squad,” has apparently lost an important battle in their war against President Donald Trump.

On the heels of Trump’s recent tweet that essentially instructed the crew — that consists of Reps. Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ayanna Pressley — to go back to the countries from which they came if they were so unhappy with America, the female lawmakers mounted a public defense and even called for the president’s impeachment in a media conference.

But instead of garnering sympathy from American voters, Trump revealed in a Wednesday morning tweet that a new Rasmussen poll showed his approval numbers jumped 4 percent, up to 50 percent, according to The Hill.

And he offered his thanks to the group of “vicious young Socialist Congresswomen,” for the welcomed boost.

“New Poll: The Rasmussen Poll, one of the most accurate in predicting the 2016 Election, has just announced that ‘Trump’ numbers have recently gone up by four points, to 50%. Thank you to the vicious young Socialist Congresswomen. America will never buy your act! #MAGA2020,” Trump tweeted.

Trump also doubled down on slamming the lawmakers by tweeting out a lengthy quote from Sen. John Kennedy, who labeled the group as the “four horsewomen of the apocalypse” while explaining how they’re destroying the Democratic party by moving so incredibly far to the left.

Do you think "The Squad" is destroying the Democratic party?

The president also promoted a big rally he’ll be having in Greenville, North Carolina, on Wednesday night and hinted that he’ll be talking about Ocasio-Cortez and her colleagues.

“Big Rally tonight in Greenville, North Carolina. Lots of great things to tell you about, including the fact that our Economy is the best it has ever been. Best Employment & Stock Market Numbers EVER. I’ll talk also about people who love, and hate, our Country (mostly love)! 7:PM,” Trump tweeted.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see that.

Make no mistake — even though Trump’s original controversial tweets were heavily condemned by the liberal mainstream media and even criticized by some Republicans, as usual, the political gamble paid off.

What Trump has managed to do is force Democrats to rally behind the radical element of socialist lawmakers, which forces the entire party to join the ultra-left arena. And it doesn’t take a political analyst to know that American voters don’t like that, whatsoever.

Far-right and far-left voters don’t win elections. Typically, those toward and in the middle do and, at this point, many Democrats are shockingly far away from the middle.

A majority of voters care about the economy, jobs and the safety of America. They don’t care much about fake news, climate change or the other liberal issues that the Democratic party is running on for the 2020 presidential election.

If Democrats keep up their shenanigans and if leadership like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi can’t corral them in time, chances are pretty good that the party will pay dearly for it in 2020 and possibly beyond.

My best advice to you is to stock up on your favorite popcorn because we’re in for what will probably be the wildest campaign and election season in American history.
