Trump Drops the Hammer After Google Bombshell: 'They're Trying To Rig the Election'
Damning revelations from within the bowels of Google and a video platform it owns, YouTube, have clearly exposed what appears to be much more bias than previously known.
Youtube censored a video that proved Pinterest was banning conservative and pro-life content by labeling it as porn.
A leaked internal Google email showed discussions of censoring conservative content from Ben Shapiro and Dennis Prager because they are, according to the email, the same thing as “nazis.”
Most recently, an influential Google employee is on the record claiming Google is using its technology to stop President Donald Trump from winning the presidential election in 2020.
So, when Trump took an interview on Fox Business with Maria Bartiromo on Wednesday morning, it didn’t take long for him to turn up the heat.
When Bartiromo asked him whether he was concerned about technology companies censoring conservatives, Trump did not mince words.
“Well, they’re doing it to me on Twitter.” Trump bluntly stated. “What they did to me on Twitter is incredible. I have millions and millions of followers, but I will tell you, they make it very hard for people to join me on Twitter. And they make it very much harder for me to get out the message. It’s incredible.”
Trump then hit the tech companies about their biases.
“These people are all Democrats,” Trump said. “It’s totally biased toward Democrats. If I announced tomorrow that I’m gonna become a nice liberal Democrat, I would pick up five times more followers.” Trump pointed out how his social media following has slowed. “I was picking up 100,000 new followers every few days … then all of a sudden it stopped. Now I pick up a lot, but I don’t pick up nearly what I did.”
The president said he believes that Twitter is purposely making it harder for him to communicate to American citizens on its platform. “Twitter is just terrible, what they do — they don’t let you get the word out,” Trump said. “I’ve had so many people come to me, ‘Sir, I can’t join you on Twitter,’ I see what is happening 100 percent.”
The subject of censorship and bias within big tech companies is nothing new. The more difficult subject is a solution.
Bartiromo asked Trump if he thinks the answer to Silicon Valley’s leftist agenda is competition or legislation. Trump’s answer was clear: “You may need legislation to create competition.”
“You saw what happened yesterday with Google,” Trump said, referring to the video footage of a Google executive admitting they are working to make sure Trump loses. “Google was totally biased.”
But then Trump let the big hammer drop. “Let me tell you — they’re trying to rig the election,” he said. “That’s what we should be looking at.”

Trump suggested that legal action should be taken against the companies who are engaging in this behavior. “I’ll tell you what — they should be sued,” Trump warned. “You see it with that executive yesterday from Google — the hatred for the Republicans. It’s not even like, ‘Gee, let’s lean Democrat.’ The hatred.”
Trump is absolutely correct: The bias from big tech is obvious.
It will not be easy to find a solution that is true to a free-market ideology yet also promotes free and diverse speech.
But we must do something. The price of doing nothing is too high.
