Footage: 18-Year-Old Turning Point Volunteer Violently Attacked By Grown Man Outside Polling Place
On Tuesday afternoon, a grown man struck a calm 18-year-old Turning Point volunteer after the teenager challenged his views.
The young man stood under a Turning Point Action tent near a New Hampshire polling place, talking with anyone willing to stop and speak about the election.
But one man, likely in his 60s or 70s, chose to turn up the temperature.
Calmest guy at the polling place today in NH was the 18-year old that got swung at. We want conversation, not violence! https://t.co/NymQw04VbF

After his opinions were challenged, the older adult stepped toward the teenager and said, “You have no idea who I am, so how dare you say I don’t know much?”
The volunteer calmly countered, “You haven’t presented a single statistic. You haven’t presented a single…”
His angered opponent wildly interjected, “Neither have you!”
“I cannot believe that bulls***.”
The 18-year-old, who has not yet been identified, stood silently as the man kept yelling, “You sit there and dare to look me in the face and say I don’t know anything?”
He then lunged at the volunteer, shoved his middle finger into the young man’s face, and said, “That’s what I know.”
When the conservative activist didn’t respond, the senior pulled back his arm and violently slapped him across the face, shouting “f*** you.”
Look at what the left has become.
When faced with reasoned opposition, they respond with violence. When challenged, they turn the marketplace of ideas into a battlefield.
A political rival becomes a mortal enemy, and an opposing ideology becomes an existential threat that must be resisted — violently, if necessary.

This is what we’re up against.
Throughout the entire exchange, the Turning Point Action volunteer stood completely still. He bore the man’s verbal abuse without a word of defense. He refrained from responding in anger.
And even when assaulted by a man easily three times his age, he remained stoic, impervious to the man’s deranged attack.
By standing firm in the face of opposition, this young conservative demonstrated not only the strength of his character, but also the strength of his ideas.
When faced with significant anger and aggression, he stayed calm.
The only thing left to say is well done. May we all respond to the gathering storm with the same patience, kindness, and firm resolve.
