Breaking: Actor Burt Reynolds Dead at Age 82
Burt Reynolds, well-known actor, has passed away at the age of 82. Suffering from cardiac arrest Thursday morning, he was rushed to a hospital, and according to TMZ he died of a heart attack.
Known for his roles in films such as “Smokey and the Bandit” and “Boogie Nights,” the renowned actor has had heart problems for some time now.
In 2010, Reynolds had heart surgery. His spokesman, Erik Kritzer, told fans at the time that everything was going well and according to plan, according to Us Weekly.
“Mr. Reynolds has been released from a hospital in Florida in which he had a planned bypass operation,” the statement read. “He wants to thank everyone for their good wishes. Doctors plan on a speedy recovery.”
He even stated that Reynolds had “a great motor with brand new pipes” and that he was “feeling great.”
Reynolds had some setbacks over the years, including a battle with prescription drugs after having surgery on his back. He told People in 2010 that he’d had a rough go of it.
“I felt that in spite of the fact I am supposedly a big tough guy, I couldn’t beat prescription drugs on my own,” he said. But he addressed the problem and went to rehab.
His issues of the heart haven’t all been physical, either. During an interview with Vanity Fair in 2015, he mentioned that the love of his life had gotten away.
Marriage to his first wife, Judy Carne, only lasted two years, but what followed in the 1970s and 1980s was his on-again, off-again relationship with a woman that he adored.

Sally Field. He broke up with her for good in the ’80s, but he had regrets over it.
“I miss her terribly,” he said in 2015. “Even now, it’s hard on me. I don’t know why I was so stupid. Men are like that, you know. You find the perfect person, and then you do everything you can to screw it up.”
Later, he married Loni Anderson and the two had Quinton Anderson Reynolds, who has now survived both of his parents.
