Famous Actor and TV Host Proclaims Faith, Posts Video of Baptism in Jordan River

Share

Many Hollywood actors choose not to talk about their faith. Instead of yelling from the rooftops that Jesus is their Lord and Savior, they choose to stay quiet and do not share the information with their fans.

As Easter quickly approaches, the actions of one famous actor remind us to put down the baskets and chocolate and remember the true meaning behind the holiday.

Mario Lopez visited the Holy Land in Israel, where Jesus spent time during his life and was baptized in the same place Jesus was baptized, in the Jordan River.

The actor stood next to the Sea of Galilee and educated his followers about how the sea is actually a  freshwater lake.

“This is where Jesus walked on water, and the Jordan River runs into the sea, and that’s where, of course, Jesus got baptized, which I’m gonna be doing!”

Two days later, Lopez posted another video, this one had him in a white gown in preparation for his baptism.

“We are at the Jordan River where John the Baptist baptized Jesus Christ. I’m about to get baptized!”

He joined two Catholic priests in the river where they asked him three questions:

“Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Do you believe that He is the Son of God? Do you intend to serve Him all your life?”

To all three questions, Lopez responded, “Yes, I do.”

During his trip, Lopez made a point to talk about where Jesus was crucified and other Biblical points of interest, proclaiming his faith and educating his fans.

He told Fox News in 2015, “It’s nice to have something that is consistent in our life — family and faith is that for me.”

Lopez’s public announcement of his faith is inspiring and encourages us to do the same in talking about our faith with our friends and family.
