“America’s Got Talent” has already entertained us with some of the most iconic moments in the show’s history this summer.

Last week, everyone was talking about 22-year-old Kodi Lee, who shocked the world with his singing talent and earned new judge Gabrielle Union’s Golden Buzzer.

This week, Howie Mandel was so moved by a contestant’s performance that he hit his own Golden Buzzer — with his foot!

Joseph Allen, a 21-year-old singer and songwriter from Texas, was the contestant who inspired such a unique reaction from Mandel. He walked onstage with a specific goal in mind: to inspire others to achieve their dreams.

“When I told my dad I was going to be on ‘America’s Got Talent,’ my dad cried,” Allen said in a pre-audition interview. “He’s always known I have this thing of just, like, saying something and then accomplishing it.”

With the support of 11 brothers and sisters, Allen sets out to achieve everything he sets his mind to.

When he aspired to be a motocross racer, he taught himself to compete in and win championships. He later adopted a passion for singing and learned all he possibly could about creating music.

As soon as Allen walked onstage for his audition, his family erupted into cheers that captured the attention of the judges. When Simon Cowell asked Allen why he chose to appear on the show, Allen responded with heartfelt passion.

“I see myself as someone who can make a major impact in the world and I just want to see how much of a footprint I can leave on Earth before I leave,” Allen said.

The judges were in awe of the 21-year-old’s “electric” performance.

“There’s a new generation with millennials, and putting out there what is good in this world,” Gabrielle Union said, “and I believe you are so good.”

Simon Cowell echoed her sentiments, calling Allen’s audition “amazing.”

Howie Mandel didn’t waste any time before ushering Allen into the next round.

“You said you want to leave a footprint, well I’m going to give you the footprint you need,” Mandel said as he stomped on the Golden Buzzer.

Even AGT host Terry Crews joined the celebrations by rushing onstage to lift Allen into a congratulatory hug.

“Life is a series of moments and people are TALKING about this moment. Congratulations to my #GoldenBuzzer @ItsJosephAllen,” Mandel wrote on Twitter.

You can watch Joseph Allen, Kodi Lee and more talented contestants on Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC.
