Duggar Family Members Suffer Miscarriage, Quote Bible in Heartwarming Message to Fans

Pregnancy is a beautiful gift. Sadly, between “10-25% of all clinically recognized pregnancies will end in miscarriage,” according to the American Pregnancy Association.

Many couples, and sometimes even just the mom, will face and grieve a miscarriage in private. But more celebrities have been speaking out about their miscarriage experiences, hoping to encourage others.

In 2018, Carrie Underwood opened up about the long and broken road she and her husband Mike Fisher walked before welcoming their second baby into the world. The couple went through three miscarriages within the course of two years.

Former Disney Channel star David Henrie recently shared the birth of his firstborn with wife Maria. The Henries also suffered three miscarriages before Pia Philomena Francesca Henrie was born.

Do you know someone who has had a miscarriage?

They were married in June 2018 and sadly went through a miscarriage in the fall. It wasn’t until early 2019 that they decided to open up about the trial.

Lauren shared what she recalled as “the worst day of her life” in an episode of “Counting On.” She and Josiah had already told their family they were expecting.

When the miscarriage happened, it was heartbreaking, but Lauren and Josiah were grateful to have their family’s love and support during that time.

“It was definitely something I was questioning myself whether I should share our miscarriage,” Lauren told Fox News after the episode aired.

“But you know a lot of people go through this and a lot of people face it in silence,” she continued. “And I just wanted to bring hope to a lot of people that go through this — that they’re not alone.”

A heartfelt post on Instagram relayed the couple’s sentiments following their public announcement on the show.

“I just want to thank each and everyone of you for your prayers, support, and for all you Mamas out there for sharing your angel baby stories,” the caption read.

“It’s easy to share those happy times in our lives, but sharing something hard, like losing a baby can be like putting salt to a wound. I know by y’all sharing your stories it has not only helped me, but many other women who have gone through the same trials.”

The caption ended with an uplifting verse: “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. Psalm 147:3″

We will keep this sweet couple in our thoughts and prayers. We admire their faith and authenticity and know their story resonates with so many.
